Jeremy Langford Glass Artist & Sculptor
Jeremy Langford (born in London, England, 1956) is a British/Israeli glass sculptor and designer. His specialties are monumental size stacked glass sculpture, architectural glass, and stained glass artwork. His artwork is internationally known and he has been commissioned around the world in the creation of glass art for governments, private residents, corporations, hotels, and religious organizations. Major works of his include glass pillars at the Chain of Generations Center in Jerusalem, three massive sculptures for the Trump International Towers at Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, sculptural work at the Four Seasons Hotel, Miami and glasswork for the British museum in London. He travels internationally for projects, his studio being based in Tel Aviv, Israel.
'The Generations Center' by The Western Wall, Jerusalem, Israel .Nine monumental glass sculptures depicting the history of the Jewish People in contemporary glass sculpture. Commissioned by the Prime Minister of Israel's office for the Israeli Government through Programa 1 Museum Designers, Tel Aviv, Israel. The project was awarded the THEA (The Disney Company) award for the finest Heritage Center for the year 2007.
Trump Towers- Sunny Isles, Florida, USA. Three 7 meter high glass sculptures in the lobbies of the Trump Towers, Miami. Commissioned by Hirsch Bedner Architects, Atlanta, Georgia, USA for Donald Trump and Jorge Perez of the Related Group property development company, Florida, USA
Design for the CitiGroup Bank Headquarters Building, Manhattan, NY. The design was for a 28 meter high glass and metal sculpture in the atrium of the CitiGroup building. Commissioned by Boston Properties, NY. USA.
Rock + Republic Fashion Company. A horizontal stacked glass sculpture in the flagship company store in Beverly Hills, California, USA. The sculpture was created as an artistic statement in the store and as a catwalk for supermodels at fashion shows in Beverly Hills.
The Supreme Court Building, Jerusalem, Israel. A series of sculpted glass furniture for the judge’s chambers + a series of cast and carved decorative panels. Commissioned by Ram Carmi Architects, Israel for The Rothschild Foundation, Paris/Tel Aviv.
The Museum of the History of Jerusalem, Israel. A monumental series of carved and painted glass panels throughout the museum. Commissioned by The Jerusalem Foundation in Israel for The Charles Clore Foundation, London.
The Four Seasons Hotel, Miami, USA. A layered stacked glass wall on the 54th floor. Commissioned by John Ike Architects, NY, USA.
World Market Center, Las Vegas, USA. A monumental glass sculpture and water feature +and a cast bronze and cast glass contemporary 'chandelier' for WMC- which was to be the world’s largest design canter at 10,000,000 square feet. Architects- The Jerde Partnership, Venice, California for the Related Company and Time Warner.
